BEIJING, July 29 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed mixed on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.03 percent to 2,891.85 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.96 percent lower at 8,514.65 points. The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 585.94 billion yuan (about 82.16 billion U.S. dollars), down from 606.11 billion yuan recorded on the previous trading day. Shares related to ride-hailing services led the gains, while those in the wind power and photovoltaic equipment sectors suffered major losses. The ChiNext Index, tracking China’s Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 1.44 percent to close at 1,635.67 points.
