BEIJING, June 20 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed mixed on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.47 percent to 3,240.36 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.28 percent higher at 11,305.35 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices stood at 1.09 trillion yuan (about 152.21 billion U.S. dollars), slightly down from 1.1 trillion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares in sectors such as robots and online games led the gains, while those related to real estate and retail suffered major losses.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China’s Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, gained 0.28 percent to close at 2,271.42 points on Tuesday.
