“GROUND SPACE STATION”
Space Environment Simulation and Research Infrastructure (SESRI), China’s “ground space station,” was recently put into trial operation, the China Science Daily reported on Tuesday.
Located in Harbin, capital of northeast China’s Heilongjiang Province, SESRI is a ground-based large-scale space science and technology experimental platform, designed for the study of basic scientific issues in space materials, devices, magnetospheric physics, and other areas.
STIRLING THERMOELECTRIC CONVERSION TEST
China’s space lab module Mengtian has successfully completed its Stirling thermoelectric conversion test in orbit.
The entire process was smooth and the performance exceeded expectations, the China Science Daily reported Wednesday. The thermoelectric conversion efficiency under the same isothermal ratio reached the international advanced level.
CHINA SPACE CONFERENCE
The China Space Conference will be held from April 23 to 26 in Hefei, the capital city of east China’s Anhui Province, its organizers announced on Wednesday.
This year’s conference will bring together experts and scholars from around the world to exchange ideas on deep space exploration, manned space travel, satellite internet, quantum communication, aerospace electronics, commercial spaceflight and other fields, promoting more international cooperation.
