INTERNATIONAL SPACE PAYLOADS
China’s next lunar probe Chang’e-6 will carry payloads from the European and French space agencies, the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corp revealed on Tuesday.
According to China’s lunar exploration program, the Chang’e-6 mission is scheduled to be launched around 2024 to complete a sample-return task from the far side of the moon. If the mission succeeds, it will become the first time for humans to get lunar samples from the far side.
CARBON DIOXIDE DATA
Chinese researchers have obtained the global carbon dioxide column concentrations of the polar regions at night time.
The data comes from a satellite that was launched by China last April, carrying atmospheric carbon dioxide and hyperspectral aerosol detection laser radar.
DEEP-SEA, FAR-SEA AQUACULTURE
China will accelerate its development of deep-sea and far-sea aquaculture throughout the industrial chain, according to an official guideline made public on Monday.
The guideline pledges more support for the research and development of aquaculture technologies and equipment, and calls on business owners in the industry to ensure production safety.
