The European Union’s recent decision to terminate its trade dispute against China in the DS610 case at the World Trade Organization is “the right choice”, said the head of department of treaty and law at the Ministry of Commerce on Thursday.
China has consistently held the view that the EU lacked a factual basis for initiating the case, said the official in a statement.
The official reiterated that China has always strictly abided by WTO rules and will continue to take concrete actions to firmly uphold the rules-based multilateral trading system.
