China’s forex market transacts 21.89 trln yuan in June

 BEIJING, July 31 (Xinhua) — The Chinese foreign exchange market recorded transactions worth a total of 21.89 trillion yuan (3.06 trillion U.S. dollars) in June, data from the State Administration of Foreign Exchange showed Friday.

   In terms of markets, the transaction volume of the client market was 3.35 trillion yuan, while the transaction volume of the interbank market was 18.55 trillion yuan.

   In terms of products, the cumulative transaction volume of the spot market was 9.15 trillion yuan, while that of the derivatives market was 12.74 trillion yuan.

   From January to June 2023, 123.76 trillion yuan was traded on the Chinese foreign exchange market.
