BEIJING, March 15 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed higher on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.54 percent to 3,054.64 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.60 percent higher at 9,612.75 points.
