BEIJING, March 18 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed higher on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.99 percent to 3,084.93 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 1.46 percent higher at 9,752.83 points.
