Chinese Shares Close Higher Thursday

BEIJING, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed higher on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 3.03 percent to 2,906.11 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 2 percent higher at 8,856.22 points.
