BEIJING, Nov. 27 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed lower on Monday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.3 percent to 3,031.7 points.
The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.55 percent lower at 9,785.57 points.
The combined turnover of stocks covered by the two indices totaled 828.8 billion yuan (about 116.47 billion U.S. dollars), up from 813.3 billion yuan on the previous trading day.
Shares related to real estate and weight loss drugs suffered the heaviest losses, while auto part manufacturers led the gains.
The ChiNext Index, tracking China’s Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, lost 0.61 percent to close at 1,926.2 points.
