BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhua) — Chinese stocks closed mixed Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.42 percent to 3,283.54 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.12 percent higher at 11,091.36 points.
