Chinese shares higher at midday Thursday

BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) — China’s major stock indices ended higher in the morning session Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 0.47 percent to 3,092.88 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 1.14 percent to 10,268.67 points at midday.
