A company in Zhangye, Gansu province, is using automated lines to produce high-end cosmetic bottles for international brands and leveraging the region’s resources and government support to boost China’s glassmaking industry.
Three automated production lines have been operating at full capacity at glass production workshop of Gansu Fudi Jinhong Glass Products Co., Ltd.
Through a meticulous process of batching, melting, molding, cooling, and quality inspection, assorted cosmetic bottles in diverse styles are crafted along the assembly line.
Situated in the heart of the Hexi Corridor, Zhangye boasts unique geographical advantages, high-quality quartz stone resources, and a sufficient power supply, making it an ideal location for glassmaking enterprises.
The first phase of Zhangye’s Low-Carbon Household Glass Industrial Park, Fudi Jinhong was completed and put into operation in October last year. Specializing in the production of over 10,000 types of household glass products, including cosmetic, beverage, and liquor bottles, the company has made a splash in the international market. Its perfume bottles now serve renowned global brands like Lancôme and SK-II.
Last year, the city committed to providing comprehensive support and top-notch service guarantees, creating an ideal ecosystem for projects to take root and thrive. A series of practical initiatives have been launched to address the challenges faced by businesses. By continuously optimizing service mechanisms, Zhangye aims to enhance the global competitiveness of local enterprises.
Over the past two years, through the collaborative efforts of the government and the business community, a cluster of related enterprises has rapidly formed in Zhangye’s Low-Carbon Household Glass Industrial Park, showcasing a strong agglomeration effect. This industrial convergence strengthens the local industrial chain and positions Zhangye as a rising star in China’s glassmaking industry.
